Pedestrianism, or Competitive Walking

As you likely know, the NWTRPA Walking Challenge is a recreational activity that encourages NWT residents to stay active through the winter months, but in other times and places, people have walked for sport. Enthusiasts filled stadiums to watch competitors walk around a track, in some cases, for days at a time.
